Child Safety Standards
AF prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. There are no exceptions.
What we do
- 18 and over only. AF is only for students aged 18 or over. Age comes from each student’s verified university record, not from what they type. Nobody whose record shows they are under 18 can sign up, and an account whose record shows its owner is under 18 is closed.
- Reporting in the app. Any post, reply, poll, chat message or profile can be reported from its “…” menu. Reports go to a human reviewer.
- Removal and enforcement. Content that sexualises or endangers a minor is removed as soon as it is found, and the account responsible is suspended permanently.
- Reporting to authorities. We report CSAM and child exploitation to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and to law enforcement as required by Indian law, including the POCSO Act, and preserve evidence for investigations.
- Blocking. Anyone can block another person, which hides both from each other across AF.
